SIGNS OF THE ZODIAC

Our zodiac sign or sun sign is determined by the position of the sun in relation to the earth at the time of our birth. The date ranges of the zodiac signs vary each year because our calendar year is not consistent with the orbit of the earth around the sun. Just as our sun sign is said to indicate general character traits and tendencies, particular stones are said to be affiliated with the various signs of the zodiac. Many sources conflict on which stones suit the sun signs, so they should be used as a rough guide only.
